The Journal of Australian Ceramics was formerly known as Pottery in Australia (PIA).
PIA was first published in May 1962 (Vol 1, No 1). In 2012 JAC will celebrate its 50th Anniversary. As Australia’s most widely read ceramics magazine, it is a valuable and ongoing information resource for professional and amateur ceramicists, students, galleries, curators, arts administrators, buyers and collectors of quality ceramics.
The Journal is a 128 page, full colour, contemporary ceramics journal. Published 3 times per year (1 April, 17 July and 20 November), it contains artist profiles, commentary and critical essays, exhibition and book reviews, information on tertiary ceramic education, workshop reports, technical advice, suppliers, new products, exhibition and gallery listings.
